An educational visit recommended for children aged 5 to 11, which will turn young visitors into great explorers of works of art! Equipped with a discovery booklet and a pencil, children and parents explore Villa Medici to find animals and fantastic creatures made of different materials such as marble, bronze and paint. But beware: some of them are actually flesh and blood!
The activity is punctuated by games, research based on clues and moments of artistic creation in a great adventure among the mythological stories and treasures that are hidden in Villa Medici.
RÉSIDENCE PRO EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME
The Résidence Pro is an educational programme created in 2021 by Villa Medici for high school students in vocational education in France, in order to promote equal opportunities.
Each year, in partnership with one or more French regions, Villa Medici welcomes several hundred high school students to Rome for a week to take part in a residency in the form of workshops, conferences, visits and meetings directly linked to the sectors of excellence of the regions from which the high schools come (wood industry, art trades, food trades, etc.). The programme brings together teachers from the participating schools, a network of regional sponsor companies who contribute their expertise, as well as speakers and facilitators from different fields (journalists, art historians, artists, Villa Medici Fellows, entrepreneurs, etc.).
The first edition of the Résidence Pro took place from 9 to 12 May 2022, in partnership with the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region and focused on the wood sector.
