Throughout the year, the French Academy in Rome – Villa Medici offers a programme of cultural events involving the fellows and residents of Villa Medici as well as invited international artists from all fields of artistic creation. The programme reflects the multidisciplinary and pioneering nature of Villa Medici as a place of research and experimentation in the field of contemporary artistic & literary creation and art history.
Concerts, conferences, film screenings, performances, symposiums… the ongoing programme is available at this link. The practical conditions (free or paid access, language) vary according to the event: see details on the page of each event.
In addition to the cultural events scheduled throughout the year, the French Academy in Rome also organises guided tours of Villa Medici, temporary heritage or contemporary art exhibitions and thematic festivals (cinema, architecture).
