Baroque Seasons at Villa Medici

Since 2024, Villa Medici has been showcasing a program centered around Baroque music, which this year will take place from January to December 2025, in tune with the seasons. This concert, ‘Winter,’ is the first event in this series.
Dedicated to winter both as a season of the year and as an ‘affect’ in 17th and 18th-century music, this concert presents some of the most captivating scenes from French and English Baroque theater, as well as touching excerpts from the oratorios and passions of Handel and Bach.
These concerts, designed by Villa Medici and Riccardo Martinini, also provide an opportunity to bring together excellent musicians within a Musical Chapel connected to the activities of Villa Medici.
The project partner is the prestigious Roman association I Concerti nel Parco.
