As part of the fourth edition of Nouvelle Vague sul Tevere, the Paris+Rome twin cities celebration, Villa Medici is pleased to host the Ristretto Prize award ceremony.
The Ristretto competition was created to promote a new generation of filmmakers. La Fémis and the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia – Scuola Nazionale di Cinema, the most prestigious film schools in France and Italy, and two historic institutions committed to training young filmmakers, come together for this unique competition held between Paris and Rome.
The French Academy in Rome – Villa Medici is delighted to welcome the binational jury, chaired by Paolo Giordano, and Rebecca Zlotowski, who will present the awards to the winners. The short films Les hormones and Ho ballato di tutto, respectively directed by the award-winners Anna Wajsbrot and Sarah Narducci, will be screened on this occasion.
Come and discover French cinema from the Nouvelle Vague to the present day with the Palatine Association in Rome at Villa Medicis for the Ristretto award ceremony, at the Casa del Cinema for the Nouvelle Vague sul Tevere Festival and at Villa Massimo for the exhibition Baci Rubati, L’Amour Nouvelle Vague by Raymond Cauchetier.
