Marion Waller
Trained as an urban planner and philosopher, Marion Waller (1992) is General Manager of the Pavillon de l’Arsenal, Paris’ center for architecture and urban planning. She was previously advisor to Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris, in charge of architecture, heritage and the transformation of public space. She has also published an essay on environmental philosophy, Artefacts naturels, devoted to the challenges of ecological restoration, and has taught at Sciences Po Paris, Ecole Polytechnique and Université Paris Est.
Her project at Villa Médicis
Her residency project is devoted to the survival and adaptation of cities in the face of global warming. By studying the long history of cities and the crises they have overcome, this project aims to explore avenues of resilience by blending urban planning, history and philosophy.
