Malik Djoudi
Malik Djoudi is a French electro-pop singer and songwriter. Originally from the island of Oléron, he first worked in the world of television and cinema, then alongside three pop-rock bands: Moon Pallas, Kim Tim and Alan Cock, in which he wrote the compositions and sang in English. Since 2017, he has devoted himself to his career as a solo artist.
Neither really club music, nor simply French variety, Malik Djoudi composes electronic music that reconciles 80s synthetic pop and melancholic lyrics. Intimate and sensual, Malik Djoudi’s music has taken shape over the course of his last three albums: Un (2017), Tempéraments (2019) and Troie (2021), featuring new collaborations with Philippe Katerine and Isabelle Adjani.
Project at Villa Medici:
“The writing phase of an album is always delicate.
For my part, I have to take care of this moment.
To be calm, aligned, and sometimes isolated. “
Malik Djoudi will carry out his residency as part of the writing of his next album. This residency will be an opportunity to immerse himself in the Roman setting and the peacefulness of the Villa Medici in order to create new songs, but also to refine old ones. This residency will be an opportunity to present his new songs.
