Her project at Villa Medici
In January 2024, Léa Miranda will be in residence to study Hervé Guibert’s time at Villa Medici. This project is part of a research project initiated at the National Institute of Blind Youth, where Guibert volunteered in 1983-1984. Miranda is interested in the question of vision, traces and testimonies, looking back at important places in Guibert’s life and work, and their archives. From Duroc to Villa Medici, from Des Aveugles to L’Incognito, this research focuses on the satellite objets of his works, testimonials and archives, bringing new elements to the understanding of key concepts, from disability to sexuality, from vision to blindness.
