Chargée de mission for the French Ministry of Culture, she wrote the vadémécum Dons et legs : que faire des fonds photographiques privés? published in December 2023. Her career spans academic research, collection studies, exhibitions and the art market, in France and the United States.
In January 2024, Léa Miranda will carry out a residency to study Hervé Guibert’s time at the Villa Médicis. This project is part of a research project initiated at the Institut National des Jeunes Aveugles, where Guibert volunteered between 1983 and 1984. She is interested in the question of vision, traces and testimonies, returning to the important places in his life and work, and their archives. From Duroc to Villa Médicis, Des Aveugles to L’Incognito, this research focuses on the ancillary sources of his works, testimonies and archives, bringing new elements to the understanding of key concepts, from disability to sexuality, from vision to blindness.
