Momies et autres traces organiques – archives corporelles, temps réformé (
Mummies and other organic traces – body archives, reformed time ) is subdivided into different types of traces left by life – organic traces (voice, parts of the body) or inorganic ones (photographs, recordings) –, and our relationship with them. The project deals mainly with the issue of “bodily remains” which are capable of living a second life when the mummy and the conservation of the body are placed at the center of our consideration. Finalized to the publication, this research includes visits to collections of mummies preserved in Italian museums and churches, where the culture of mummification continued until the beginning of the XX th century.
