HOW TO REACH VILLA MEDICI
By underground: line A, direction Battistini, get off at Spagna; climb the steps of Trinità dei Monti (lift available but with limits for disabled persons) or by walk up to via San Sebastianello until you reach via della Trinita dei Monti (level of Villa Borghese and Villa Medici).
By bus: minibus lines 117 / 119, direction Piazza del Popolo, get off at Spagna (at the beginning of via del Babuino).
By car: a long-stay carpark is accessible from via Ludovisi (Parking Ludovisi, T. [+39] 06 4740633; hours: daily 5h30 to 01h30; rates: 1st-5th hour 2,20€ per hour - 18€ (per day).
From Leonardo da Vinci Airport (Fiumicino): train Leonardo Express, arrival at John Paul II train station (Termini), then by underground...

The visits are from Tuesday to Sunday, closed on Monday.
During the closure of the exhibits, we apply the reduced rate of 7€ for the guided tour. Additional group tours are available upon reservation (minimum 15 people) at additional times schedule, during the opening hours of Villa Medici. Any cancellation notified less than 48 hours before the scheduled time will result in a turnover of 100€.

LIBRARY

Opening times: Monday to Thursday 09h to 13h & 14h to 17h30, on Friday 09h to 13h & 14h to 16h.

In August and at Christmas and Easter, the library have restricted opening times. The access to the Library is reserved primarily to the fellows of the French Academy. Consultations are allowed to the art historians, members of other Academies in Rome, students of Art history, Architecture and Musicology as far as possible by appointment only.

The publishing house was founded in 1945 in Florence. Today Electa is the largest Italian publishing reality of the arts, for the richness and diversity of its catalogues and collections. The activity related to the exhibitions is even more important to demonstrate its constant presence in the artistic debate. In the last years Electa has consolidated its role as a witness in the art world, opening up to contemporary art, other forms of artistic expression such as photography, industrial design, fashion and contemporary architecture.

CAFETERIA

Opening times: everyday 08h to 20h and during the artistic and cultural events organised by the French Academy in Rome.
Situated at the level of the Loggia, beside the Gallery of Ferdinand de Medici and the Library, the cafeteria serves a wide choice of hot and cold food, juices, smoothies and coffee.
