Villa Medici is a historical monument where restoration works shall be carried out at any time. We apologise that the works' schedule may change and in some cases the result might be the unexpected cancellation of the bookings with a very short notice.
Please be informed that there is no elevator to reach the rooms but a stone stairs. The gateway rooms are each served by a wooden gateway which runs alongside the building on the 4th floor. Each room has a private bathroom, with a shower or a bathtub. No food or drinks can be ordered in the rooms. Breakfast is not included in the price. A cafeteria is offering catering service (breakfast, lunch, snacks) from 7.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m.
The reception is opened from 8.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. on Sunday. Luggage is not delivered in the rooms. Prior to departure, luggages can be left in the reception but we decline any responsibility in case of loss or theft of your personal belongings.
The French Academy in Rome organises various cultural events opened to the public throughout the year (conferences, concerts, festivals, exhibitions), and guided tours of the gardens for which it is possible to register every day. We would like to remind you that these cultural events can cause noise disturbance late at night. We kindly ask you to excuse us in this particular circumstance.
